Apex Legends, one of the most popular PC games that was released last year, will be coming to both Android and iOS this year, with a Nintendo Switch version next month.
While the official release date has not been revealed, the game is expected to be rolled out this Q3 2021.
The news was confirmed in a recent earnings call with Electronic Arts (EA), the official developer of the game.
EA also added that the company plans to soft-launch the mobile version of Apex Legends within the next 3 – 4 months, and players will require the following hardware to run the game smoothly:
- iOS users will need an iPhone/iPad with at least an A11 Bionic (and above)
- Android users will need a device with at least a Snapdragon 625 (and above)
Assuming Apex Legends does not end up with a similar fate as PUBG Mobile, it could potentially become one of the largest titles for esports on mobile.
