A new CS: GO update has just been released, and it fixes a major bug that has been affecting many players in the game.
The bug, also known as a “ping bug”, would reveal a player hiding behind a corner when an opposing player “pings” while standing beside — a marker would show the hiding player’s location even if the player wasn’t within line of sight.
The correction of this bug would greatly reduce exploits within the game, especially during competitive tournaments.
Aside from the ping bug fix, the new update also ushers a series of map changes, as well as addressing a minor “footstep bug” that caused players to hear footstep sounds when they were not supposed to.
A full list of bug fixes have also been published on CS: GO’s official website.
