One of the most notable announcements from the event was an update on Diablo Immortal, one of the company’s upcoming games scheduled to be released in the near future.
For years, Diablo has always been played on the PC, but not for this upcoming release — Diablo Immortal will be made for mobile, and it will take the form of a massive multiplayer online (MMORPG).
While the game can be played both solo, Diablo Immortal will consist of several “Zones” capable of hosting multiple players from all over the world to team up, tackle dungeons, and participate in PVP events.
Players can also form their own “guilds”, opening up a lot more community and social activities.
This is the first time Blizzard is making its foray into the mobile MMO space, a big leap after tremendous success with World of Warcraft for PC.
As of now, no release date has been announced for Diablo Immortal, but an alpha release is expected to be released soon.
