Capcom says Mega Man Battle Collection came about partly due to fan demand for 20th anniversary

One of the more pleasing video game announcements of 2022 was the news that Capcom were planning the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection for the Nintendo Switch and other platforms.

The collection’s  director, Masakazu Eguchi, has talked with Japanese site 4Gamer about how it all came about.Mr.

I would imagine around that time the calls for a port would have heightened, did they also have an impact on the realization of the project?
