Chrono Cross receives a new update with Switch frame rate now set at 60fps

Prominent Japanese developer and publisher Square Enix has announced that Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition has received a substantial new update which brings the game’s framerate to 60ps on all platforms, including the Nintendo Switch.

If a new Element Grid is unlocked later after Pip evolves into a new form, all its levels will be unlocked.

The company notes that the only time the frame rate will go far below 60fps on the Nintendo Switch version is during the game’s intense final battle, which the company says will run at 30fps.
