First New Prince Of Persia Game In 13 Years Announced

Story Highlights:

The game is unrelated to the postponed remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time being developed by Ubisoft Montreal following work by Ubisoft Pune and Ubisoft Mumbai.

The game is being developed by Ubisoft Montpellier, the studio behind the beloved platformer Rayman Legends, and harkens back to the series' origins as a 2D adventure game.

The remake has been hit by a series of delays since its announcement in September 2020, and in May 2023 Ubisoft confirmed that the game would not appear at June's Summer Game Fest as the game was "still in an early stage".
